Where are we now

Good to know: While Otto will leverage existing blockchain technologies in the beginning, the final home will be a native high throughput parallel processing L1 Blockchain.

Otto has already made huge strides in bringing true decentralized AI capabilities to the masses:

  • Deployed Smart Contracts: Our core protocol contracts are live across multiple EVM chains like Ethereum, Polygon (going live 3/13/2024), and Avalanche.

  • Browser interaction with models: Interact with Otto's AI models seamlessly through our web app. A mobile app, is also in development.

  • Ephemeral Chat: Chat freely with models, without having anyone observe your data.

But this is just the beginning.

🧱 Where are we going:

Data privacy and security are fundamental to Otto's ethos. That's why we're building Otto on a secure, blazing-fast, Layer 1 blockchain to underpin our decentralized architecture.

While there are technical limitations that stop us from doing this while we are visitors on existing Blockchains, on our L1, Your personal chat data will be:

  • Encrypted End-to-End

  • Distributed across a global network of of validator nodes

  • use a TEE (trust execution environment) to allow node operators to work on handle your data without being able to read it

  • Sovereign L1 Blockchain: We're developing Otto's own high-speed Layer 1 chain as the definitive decentralized AI platform.

  • Autonomous AI Agents: Deploying self-sovereign AI assistants that migrate across chains, carrying their knowledge.

  • Custom Trained Models: A model marketplace for renting or creating tailored, task-specific language models.

  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation: Combining large language models with authoritative external data sources.

  • Continuous Learning: Finetuning capabilities to let AI models perpetually expand their knowledge.

  • Upgradeable Model States: Backing up versioned AI model weights so agents can be restored or rolled back.

From privatized secure compute to self-improving AI assistants, Otto is charting frontiers unlocking the full potential of decentralized artificial intelligence. The future is autonomously intelligent - and it's being built here.
